Types of Events and Disciplines with examples

This is a list of the icons used to depict the Event Types and Disciplines within Insight.

  • Event Types
    • Caseload Management: gear (gray)

Event types

There are specific events to use to identify the type of activities you are scheduling on your insight™ calendar. When scheduling events in Insight™, refer to the chart below to select the appropriate event type. 

Caseload Management
  • Used when completing indirect time, including Prep/Planning/Paperwork, Progress Reports, Evaluation Reports, or Supervision.
      • Planning/Prep/Paperwork. Used for activities such as emailing teachers, scheduling, or prep for sessions
      • Progress Reports. Used when completing progress reports per the school’s data reporting schedule
      • Evaluation Reports. Used when completing any indirect activities pertaining to an evaluation, such as scoring assessments, interpreting results, and report writing
      • Supervision. Used when completing supervision tasks as outlined in your Statement of Work
      • Meeting. This event type is used for school meetings that are not student-specific. Examples: School software training or school staff meetings
Consultation
  • Per a student’s IEP, a Consultation event is used to consult with a parent or teacher.
Evaluation
  • Used for time spent administering assessments or other direct evaluation time spent with a student.
  • Note: A Caseload Management Event is used when time is spent interpreting evaluation data and writing evaluation reports.

IEP Meeting
  • Used for IEP Meeting attendance.
  • This event type is used for student-specific school meetings. Examples: Annual IEP meetings or eligibility meetings
Record Review
  • Used when a school asks a contractor for a formal review of records (current paperwork, IEPs, and/or evaluations) or in lieu of a triennial evaluation, with a written report provided.
Response to Intervention
  • Session type used for students who are receiving services through RTI.
Session
  • Direct Therapy Session that may include a Regular, Make-up, Approved Compensation, or an Extended School Year session.
