Documenting Goal Progress

  • As a Service Provider, in order to Document Goal Progress for students, you must open the “Document Event Modal” either from the Dashboard Page or the Calendar Page by selecting the Student’s Session. 
  1. Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking "Dashboard" in the side menu.

  • For the Calendar, the current month will be the default. The Day, Date you are logging in is the default Day/Date and will be highlighted with a colored circle.
  • If there are any Events scheduled for this today they will be listed in the space to the right of the Calendar.
  • To view a different month click on the arrows at the top of the Calendar:  to look back in time, a month at a time, click on the left arrow and to look forward in time, a month at a time, click on the right arrow.
  • When you change the month, in order to see the daily Events again, you need to click on one of the dates on the Calendar.

  1. If you have access to multiple Organizations to help narrow your search you can use the Dashboard Calendar filter.

  • The space directly to the right of the Calendar will populate Events that are scheduled for that Day, Date and will include one of the following icons:
    • An outlined in ‘Red Circle’ indicating the Event has passed and is ready for Documentation, 
    • An outlined in ‘Green Circle’ with a green check mark indicating this Event has been Documented, and
    • When 'No Circle' is present this indicates that the Event is in the future. Goals cannot be Documented for future Events.
  • Also included is the Event starting and ending time and the Student name(s) that are scheduled for the Event.

  1. When Documenting Goals click on an Session and when the modal opens there is a small clock icon to the right of the Student’s name. 

  1. The fields you can Document are:

4a. Attendance (required): the options are

    • Present - use when attendee attended the event
    • Absent - use when attendee does not attend the event
    • No School - use if event was not held because of a school calendar change
    • Service Provider Cancelled - use if event was not held due to the service provider's availability
    • Late Cancel - use if the event was not held due to an unexpected cancellation by the school or attendee

4b. Notes section (required)

    • In the notes header you can click on ‘Add a template’ to select either the Progress Notes or SOAP (Subject Data, Objective Data, Assessment Information, Plan Details) templates to add your Notes
    • Or you can freely type your Notes and comments.  

4c. Duration (required):

    • This box will be pre-filled with the Event duration in minutes and can be updated if the Event was different than the planned Duration of the Event.                           

4d. Goals (for Sessions only and they are not required):

    • Once the Attendance for the Event has been updated with ‘Present’ a ‘Document Goals’ button will appear under the Duration box if the Student has Goals. 
    • When displayed, click the ‘Document Goals’ toggle button to enable the list to open and close.
    • Each Goal will have a brief description and also have a toggle button to click which will allow you to update each individual Goal.


***Of note, if there is more than one Student in the Session there will be separate Goals’ toggle buttons for each Student.

4f. There are two Goal Types

    • Trials: Document the total number of trials with how many the Student successfully completed by clicking on the corresponding number of boxes.
      • You can update the number of trials by clicking on the pencil or clicking on the ‘minus’ or ‘plus’ signs on the ends of the small boxes.
      • You will also see the percentage displayed for the total number correct, based on the number of boxes marked.
    • Percentage: Document the percentage of what the Student completed correctly by sliding the circle along the line to the marked percentage or typing the exact percentage in the text box and hitting “Enter” or clicking away. This will move the slide bar to the exact percentage

  1. When you are finished ‘Documenting’ and all the required fields have been updated click the ‘Save’ button in the bottom right corner of the modal.

  • Once you have clicked on the ‘Save’ button you will see a Confirmation notification briefly pop up at the top of your screen that says, “Success Your Event has been Documented.”
